  • Dörr telescope Wega 1000

    Dörr Dörr telescope Wega 1000

    1 in stock

Dörr telescope Wega 1000 Reflecting telescope with a magnification of 332x Focal length of 1000 mm and aperture of 90 mm The 6 x 30 finderscope - Quickly locate celestial bodies The EQ-2 Mount – For Alignment and Tracking Achromatic 2x Barlow lens – for even more magnification Tripod legs made of aluminum for high stability with low weight and easy transportability Tripod, EQ-2 mount, finderscope, 3 eyepieces, achromatic 2x Barlow lens with camera mount, diagonal mirror and moon filter The Dörr Wega 1000 refractor offers ambitious beginners and advanced amateur astronomers a complete and comprehensive set of equipment for their astronomical observations. With its sturdy aluminum tripod and EQ-2 equatorial mount, it ensures smooth and precise tracking of the sky. The 90 mm refractor and 1000 mm length enable 40 to 332x magnification – allowing you to observe the rings of Saturn or Jupiter and its moons in detail. The included finderscope, three high-quality eyepieces, and the achromatic 2x Barlow lens offer even greater optical versatility. A suitable filter is also included for lunar observation. Viewing through the 90° diagonal mirror makes observing even more comfortable. The Dörr Wega 1000 refractor is a reliable and loyal companion for anyone who wants to delve into the fascinating world of astronomy. The telescope – the classic with lenses The DÖRR WEGA 1000 is a lens telescope, also known as a refractor. The light is collected and focused by the lenses, and magnified by the eyepiece. This design is a classic. Galileo Galilei presented the world's first telescope – a refractor – as early as 1609. The optics have been continuously improved to this day. The WEGA boasts excellent optical performance. The long focal length of 1000 mm and the aperture of 90 mm make even very distant celestial bodies such as galaxies visible. The tripod – stable yet lightweight The telescope rests on an LT1 tripod with aluminum legs. This combines high stability with low weight, a major advantage if you ever need to transport the telescope. The tripod legs are continuously height-adjustable. This ensures comfortable upright observation – regardless of height. A tray is located between the tripod legs. This is very useful for placing eyepieces and other accessories during observation. The EQ-2 Mount – For Alignment and Tracking The EQ-2 equatorial mount enables telescope alignment and precise tracking of celestial objects. The axes are aligned with the Earth's axis. This means that only one axis needs to be moved to compensate for the Earth's arcuate rotation. This allows for precise tracking of the celestial bodies being observed, ensuring the object always remains in the center of the field of view. This makes the EQ-2 mount well-suited for high magnifications. The movement of both axes and the tracking are performed manually using fine-tuning knobs, each attached to a flexible shaft. The adjustable counterweight and two tube clamps, which allow precise positioning of the telescope on the mount, keep the telescope in optimal balance. Setup and operation – quick, easy and convenient The telescope's components are designed for quick and easy setup. Operating the telescope is also straightforward. While you track the objects you're observing with a single rotary knob, the focus can be precisely adjusted using two dials. The rotary knob for tracking is mounted on a flexible shaft and can be precisely adjusted to a position that ensures comfortable operation for any body size. Once set up and aligned, nothing stands in the way of extended explorations of the night sky. The 6 x 30 finderscope - Quickly locate celestial bodies The finderscope is mounted parallel to the telescope tube and, after a one-time adjustment, allows you to quickly locate the celestial objects you want to observe. A finderscope is necessary because the high magnification of telescopes narrows the viewing angle so much that quickly locating celestial objects is impossible. The WEGA 1000's finderscope, with its low magnification of 6x, covers a large area of the sky, making it easier to quickly align the telescope to the desired object. The finderscope's large 30 mm aperture ensures high light intensity for even better orientation. Fully coated eyepieces – optics for good vision The eyepieces are part of the optical system. They are attached to the telescope and allow viewing. The eyepiece used influences the telescope's magnification. Three eyepieces are included with the WEGA telescope. They have a standard 1.25" thread: PL6.3, a four-lens Plössl eyepiece with a 6.3 mm focal length for 159x magnification; PL10, a four-lens Plössl eyepiece with a 10 mm focal length for 100x magnification; and PL25, a four-lens Plössl eyepiece with a 25 mm focal length for 40x magnification. The fully coated (FC) lenses allow for improved light transmission for the brightest possible image. This also reduces reflections. Achromatic Barlow lens – magnification + photo port The DÖRR WEGA 1000 comes with an achromatic 2x Barlow lens. It mounts between the telescope and the eyepiece and doubles the magnification. This results in the following magnifications with the Barlow lens attached: PL6.3 magnification 318x; PL10 magnification 200x; PL25 magnification 80x. The recommended maximum magnification for the DÖRR WEGA 1000 is 180x. While higher magnifications are technically possible, they no longer produce sharp observation results. This is primarily due to the atmospheric turbulence in Earth's atmosphere. The achromatic Barlow lens is equipped with a T2 connection thread. This allows the connection of all common SLR and system cameras for astrophotography using a corresponding T2 adapter (optionally available from DÖRR). Instead of an eyepiece, a Barlow lens is inserted into the telescope and connected to the camera. This significantly reduces optical aberrations. 90° diagonal mirror – for a comfortable view Every telescope produces a reversed and upside-down image. The diagonal mirror is placed between the telescope and the eyepiece. The upside-down image is corrected and then repositioned. The diagonal mirror also deflects the image by 90°, allowing for a more pleasant view from above. Moon filter – For glare-free views of the moon The moon is illuminated by the sun. During a full moon, it appears unpleasantly bright when viewed through the eyepiece. The included moon filter screws into the back of the eyepiece and darkens the field of view neutrally. It essentially acts like sunglasses. This allows for even longer observations of the full moon to be pleasant and without glare. Using the moon filter is also recommended when observing Venus to reduce the glare. - NEVER look through the telescope or viewfinder directly at the sun or near the sun! There is a risk of blindness! - The telescope is not a toy! Children should not use the telescope without adult supervision.
