Samsonite
In 1910, Jesse Shwayder founded the Shwayder Trunk Manufacturing Company in Denver, which initially produced heavy wooden trunks. The company was later renamed Shwayder Brothers, Inc., but it wasn't until it released the Samsonite Streamline, a suitcase-like piece of luggage, in 1941 that the current brand developed.
